• Botilinum Toxin is a toxin reproducing in spoiled food. Has been employed in Neurology and aesthetics for long years.
• No allergic reactions
• Tendons in the muscles it is applied, temporarily stop activity and get tight
• Botox is applied especially to persistent frown lines on forehead, on middle part of brows and to crow’s feet (exterior sides of eyes)
• Can be applied to armpits in order to prevent sweating
• Following the application, forehead muscles become tight in 1-2 days, muscles at eye sides become tight in 6-7 days and muscles in the middle of brows become tight in 15 days.
• Tightness is effective from 4 to 8 months. At the end of this duration, the second application should be realized. The third and the fourth repetitions depend upon the patient.
• Once muscles get tight, in the first two months, the patient can hardly move them under control (voluntarily). Later, they can be moved upon the patient’s will. Facial movements are temporarily paralyzed in the beginning.
• The reason of persistent frown lines is those movements we repeat unawarely. One will never return to the original condition since these movements do not occur any more.
• At the end of one year, muscles will preserve their thight structure much beter than the original condition even if the activity of botox ends.
• The treatment can simultaneously be applied to all three parts orto only one of them.
• After the treatment, the curve of brows is increased and if demanded, the ends of brows can be lifted a little.
